Established in 1945 Chester Cartage has been owned and operated by the Cummins family since 1974. Our long-standing family values are evident in our ‘do the right thing’ mantra. With our fleet of over 100 company owned trucks and over 200 trailers throughout Southern Ontario, we can provide the right solution to your logistics needs. Chester handles a wide variety of commodities including paper, paint, chemicals and building materials. In order to better service our customers, Chester Cartage expanded our services in 1982 to include a warehousing division that consists of 350,000 sqft. of storage space.
Chester is committed to the best interest of our employees. Over 75% of Chester employees have been with us for over 10 years. We have employees trained in WHIMIS, Dangerous Goods, Health and Safety, Forklift Certification etc. Their experience not only provides our customers with superb service, but also has allowed our team to build relationships with our customers and understand their specific needs and preferences.

In creating a custom service plan we provide an optimal combination of our services including; full load, next day and same day less than truckload, and dedicated fleet.
